MANNA & QUAIL from HEAVEN: Exodus 13-21
13 That evening vast numbers of quail flew in and covered the camp. And the next morning the area around the camp was wet with dew. 14 When the dew evaporated, a flaky substance as fine as frost blanketed the ground. 15 The Israelites were puzzled when they saw it. “What is it?” they asked each other. They had no idea what it was.
And Moses told them, “It is the food the Lord has given you to eat.16 These are the Lord’s instructions: Each household should gather as much as it needs. Pick up two quarts[c] for each person in your tent.”
17 So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little. 18 But when they measured it out,[d] everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed.
19 Then Moses told them, “Do not keep any of it until morning.” 20 But some of them didn’t listen and kept some of it until morning. But by then it was full of maggots and had a terrible smell. Moses was very angry with them.
21 After this the people gathered the food morning by morning, each family according to its need. And as the sun became hot, the flakes they had not picked up melted and disappeared. 22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much as usual—four quarts[e] for each person instead of two. Then all the leaders of the community came and asked Moses for an explanation. 23 He told them, “This is what the Lord commanded: Tomorrow will be a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath day set apart for the Lord. So bake or boil as much as you want today, and set aside what is left for tomorrow.”
PREPARATION FOR PROSPERITY: TRUSTING IN The Spiritual Way
ILLUSTRATION Of Wealth Principles.
When Moses was elected to lead the Hebrews out of slavery from Egypt, He was chosen for a reason. It was because of his being adopted and trained by the highest elites of the wealthiest civilization of all time. He was living in and among wealth that we today would call the Zillions. We don't know this kind of wealth today as the Egyptians were one of the wealthiest civilizations of ancient time. He was to use all he had learned about wealth from the Egyptians, to bring his people out of slavery, destined to be a rich people for all times.
So once he accepted and embarked on his mission, the first principle of wealth was put into action. As The freed people traveled through the wilderness, they complained of hunger and began to feel like they were better off being in slavery than the freedom of creating their own destiny, their Promised Land. In their tenure in Egypt, they were used to trusting in Pharaoh for their needs but now they were to learn how to trust in the Universal Power, God, for their needs. It was not an easy lesson to be learned as many griped and much resentment spread among the people.
MANNA & QUAILS
In the story, God performed the miracle of Manna and Quails in the answer to their needs to introduce into their minds, that he would supply their needs no matter the conditions, if they trust in him. He supplied Manna and Quails for food in a desert, for one day only. Time being a variable of exercise to eliminate greed and appreciate the Blessings of the Now. This is the same for us. As we go through the wilderness of financial shortages, relationship difficulties, health problems or emotional challenges, as we trust in him, and keep faith along the journey, he will supply all of our needs in the most unique and unexpected ways. When he does supply the Manna for our needs, we should be grateful and be fully immersed in the now. Do not worry for tomorrow as it will be taken care of again, as we Trust God to supply the need for that time.
Becoming A Millionaire Both Spiritually and Mentally:
Financial Wealth is a great need for us all. How do we get it? When living in the wilderness, or a mindset of worry, resentment or jealousy, the only way out of it to the Promised Land, is Trusting in God for the Blessings of This day, knowing it will be sufficient to our needs. The more we do this, the more we will be given. Once we are fully immersed in this lifestyle, we will begin to relax and stop worrying and the channels of prosperity will open up to rain more "Manna" than we ask or need. We will become a virtual magnet to wealth.
Ephesians 3:20 "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. "
How do we Trust in the midst of Insecure Financial Times? Speak words as though our needs have already supplied. Even when it does not appear so, continue to speak and trust and act as though it is already done. There is no loss in God's Supply. What may not come from one place will sprout up in another.
Deal with one day at a time. Work towards your goal today as if this was the day it is granted. Thank God Daily.
